CTLES, Techical Centre for Books of Higher Education, is a national public administrative institution; it is operated by the Ministry for National Education, Higher Education and Research and is responsible for the preservation and communication of documents for universities and research centre in Paris.
To create a contrast with the aluminium exterior of the original campus, the project team wrapped the extension in ribbed panels of reflective stainless steel. The shiny metal reflects the sky and the greenery of its landscaped setting, as well as the surrounding trees and fields.
Materials used externally are also applied inside the building, with the reflective metal walls lining circulation areas and the archive spaces.
In addition to the beauty created by stainless steel, the designers also need to keep the intrinsic qualities of the material, such as anti-corrosion, durability over time and much more.
Viganò International ensures the best results in the stainless steel processing and cutting. Visit the website www.vigano.international to know all the information about the company, its services and innovative solutions.
